Portfolio Submition: Review for Yourself!

Hey guys!

It has been quite a while since I have been posting updates.

I am sorry for that! I have just been working hard on starting college as a freshman.
I have been doing more than just sewing in the past few months. I now have to draw, paint, and create works of art on picture plains, instead of human bodies. I will have to post my past semester's work!
I have so much to show you!
:D

But for now, I am posting a quick review of my past works that are within this portfolio. I had to submit this for a different college (not the one I am in today) for a scholarship.
I got $26,000 worth of scholarship from this school, but it wasn't enough to attend to, sadly.
But my other school offered me much more.
I just had to take that!
:3

Anyway, here ya go and I hope you enjoy.

Updates? YES!

Hello!

I have been loading all of my stuff into a new space, so sorry I haven't been on for a while. I am moving from my bedroom to the garage. It is a mess right now but it is all coming together nicely.

Overall view

Hey theres that fabric for my costume! (Read below)

My little organizer for my small things like spikes, eyelets, gears, ext.

Here are a few of my drawers that I had to buy PLENTY of from a container store. I have so much thread it needed its own drawer!!

Yes, I have so much fabric it completely filled out 7+ drawers! It will all help for college though!

Now. . . if I can only organize. . . the rest of this stuff

Ok well, I had a project or two that I recently finished
One is a corset made with a light, thin velved with a gold busk and golded rivets and D-Rings. Photos coming some time :p But here is a drawing of what it is.
I recently learned how to use rivets with a corset and I am looking forward to continue my practice with them. But for my first time using them, I think I did a decent job. I mean, some are really crappy looking, but still a good first attempt. Again, I will post some photos. . . sometime.

Here is a project I recently started:

It is a cosplay of the My Little Pony character "Queen of the Changelings"
or also known as "Chrysalis"

Here is the character incase you don't watch MLP:FIM

I have already bought, maybe, 80% of the materials
-Skirt 5 yards of cotton from Joann's
- Fishnet shirts 5 yards black fishnet from Etsy and 4 yards green fishnet from Fabrics World, and damn it was hard to find!

- PVC bright green 1 1/2 yards for the corset and neck corset from Joann's
- Model Magic for the horn

I don't know how to do the wings quite yet. That will be the very last thing to do.

I have started the skirt already, but I am waiting for the fishnet to come in so I can layer the whole thing together. What I can do at the moment is burn the edges >:3

In other news!

I was invited by a group called RAW: Natural Born Artists to do a fashion show to showcase my talents!

They are a group that recognizes young, local artists (based on where you live, at least) and give them the chance to show off. This way, you can become recognized by whoever is coming to the show. I was told that a woman who works for a fashion magazine always shows up to the art show I would be presenting in. I wish I could remember which one :l

I am very HAPPY that I was invited to this! I am very skeptical as to how I'm going to go about it, but I would really like to be apart of their program. I can be featured on their page and everything!

I have plans on what I can make them too, but I won't tell about it quite yet

;p

Thats really it for now

-FOR SALE- One Peice of My Collection: Formal Rave Homecoming Underbust Corset Yellow.

Here is one of the three peices of my collection inspired by raves.

Underbust Yellow Satin Corset with Steel Bonning Black Lace Criss-Cross Laces and Optional Removable Dress

This fancy underbust top would require a nice top because it does not cover the bust. that way, this dres can become very versatile to the wearer of the garment. the back of the garment is beautifully showing the sparkle tulle petty coat that comes with the dress.

There are corset lacing ties on each both sides of the top.
These can be ajusted slightly.

Laced Hem all the way around the dress.

Cool features about this dress:
On the waist line there is a zipper that can remove the yellow flow dress and reveal the sparkle tulle tutu that comes with this dress, for an even more versatile options for the wearer of the dress.

Here are the exact measurements of this garment.

Have any questions or interested in buying this dress? Please message me on my Etsy account. Listing link bellow.

Very Red Lolita Dress

Latest Project!

I was SOOO bored the other day I just wanted to create something! I also wanted to keep working on my lolita dresses. Here is the latest, ready and made!

The back view turned out pretty well. It looks nicer than I expected.

This dress has a button closure and a 10 inch zipper.

What's pretty awesome about this dress is that I made pin tucks on the hem! I think I did a great job for a beginner on pin tucks!

Here are my notes about this dress.
I did leave out the long ties out of the dress. . .
